Another small town in Michoacan we visited for one night is at 7000 ft altitude. High altitude means cool, crisp nights. The historic center is designated as a Pueblo Mágico which means no McDonalds or other modern distractions. The pueblo is a very beautiful little section of the town and is filled with lots of heritage and opportunities for shopping.
One of our boat neighbors lives here and suggested we check it out. Good suggestion.
