We left Marina Vallarta behind and headed back to La Cruz. There were three cruise ships in PV, and the town was Busy! We want to spend a more relaxing week before we start our way going seriously southbound.
On our 14-mile trip to La Cruz, we decided to give our watermaker a test. Our watermaker will become very important as we travel further away from conveniences provided at well-equipped marinas we have enjoyed so far. Exciting. Stressful!
The watermaker failed. Or at least failed to operate as expected. Or at least the operator failed to operate the watermaker properly. This is quite a complicated little system. We will test again when we go for a short day sail while staying at La Cruz.
In the meantime, we plan to visit with friends, visit some of the local dining establishments, and get plenty of hot showers while hot showers are available. According to reports that little marina amenity gets harder to find the further south we travel.
