Our second stop on the Circle Tour was a geyser field – Haukadalur Geothermal Area. Their famous “Great Geyser” has gone to sleep after a recent earthquake, however the slightly smaller Strokkur geyser now puts forth a bubble of steam and spray about every five minutes. Not quite Yellowstone, but still a very nice visit.
