Inland to Morelia

We have not been very good about making trips inland when we get to a stopping spot. After the refrigeration repairs, it was time to get away from the coast. Morelia is about a 5-6 hour bus ride depending on the bus route. We scored big! 7.5 hours!

Some people say Mexico is dangerous. Let me tell you, the people we meet are very nice and very helpful, and when we need assistance they are also very good at their work. But danger? Let’s talk bus drivers!

OMG! You don’t know how many times our bus crossed the centerline and passed between two trucks on a two lane highway. For a little while, we had an army vehicle in front of us. Even that did not deter exciting passings.

We celebrated our safe arrival with food and beverages followed by a very restful sleep.

Enchiladas Verdes for Mary and Enmolados (Encheladas con mole) for Dave. Delicioso!
