From Tenacatita we went to Barra de Navidad. The marina is attached to the resort we stayed at in December when we attended the Panama Posse kick off seminars. Yes they have a pool! There is also the French Baker that comes to the marina in a panga and sells his baked goods. Nothing like his chocolate almond croissant!

The small town if Barra de Navidad is just across a small channel. To get there, you call the water taxi and he pucks you up at the marina a drops you off in town. It cost 40 pesos which is about $2.00 US. In town there are many, many great restaurants, little shops that sell tourist trinkets and such, a few small grocery 7-11 type grocery stores and bars with live music. The good thing is most of the restaurants have outdoor seating.

It is not all peaches and cream. We were a little disappointed they did not have a pump out at the dock as the website said. They also did not have potable water. We had to buy 5 gal bottles and fill our tanks. We also had to take showers in the pool bathrooms if we wanted hot water. I guess we were spoiled by Paradise Village. As I reread this post, the chalkenges that we faced were easily overcome. All in all it was a good place.
