Staying in Ensenada Tuesday

We are watching the weather. Today the winds and swell were forecast to be stronger and bigger than we were comfortable with. We want to be safe and take care of boat and crew, so we stayed one more day.

It was a lovely day. The sun was out in the morning and pretty warm. The wind was calm so we decided to go to the fuel dock and get topped off. When we got to the fuel dock, they had no power and said it would be 1/2 hour. We were reminded that 1/2 hour in Mexico means it could be 2 hours. While we waited we pumped out the holding tanks. We waited… The wind was building and we waited. After 2 1/2 hours the fuel guy told us it might not be today, we would have to come back in the morning.

We headed back to the slip. Know, it is always stressful to dock the boat and when it is windy it adds more stress. Dave is a master! We landed without a problem thanks to Rick, Nicole and our neighbor.

It was time for a beer and lunch. We walked to the brewery that is just down the road. Wow, great beer, great fries and good burgers. Now time for the hot tub and showers at the resort!

We got the last minute chores done getting ready for our departure. The sunset was gorgeous! A restful friendly game of backgammon then an early start tomorrow.
