July 7, 2021. Friends Nicole and Kelsey joined us in Monterey today. They helped provision and get the boat ship shape for our cruise down to Santa Barbara. After a great lunch at Dust Bowl Brewery, we went for a walk to Cannery Row. On our walk Dave was given a good luck sign by a passing bird. Not to be left out, Mary was later blessed by what her mom calls “the bluebird of happiness”. We knew we would have a safe passage. Next up, an early dinner, showers then hit the rack for an early departure.
