Lettuce Lake to Peanut Island

Ok, we did not really start in Lettuce Lake, but we did start in the “lake” right next to it.  I expect Lettuce Lake got its name from all the lettuce being fed to the manatees there.  We saw none.  The manatees got no lettuce from us.

We were in the “lake” just to the right!  No manatee there either.

We did the reverse route out of the ICW back out into the Atlantic.  It was a 35-mile trip with no favorable wind, so the motor was humming all the way.

Nothing exciting this run.  Nothing broke.  Our fridge finally reached temperature after two days of very gently cooling it down.  As we were motoring to our destination, two separate fishing boats did stop directly in front of us to drop lines.  I guess they did not see the 45-foot YO-D-YO bearing down on them…

We entered West Palm Beach harbor.  It’s a very industrial port, but there are hundreds of cruising boats anchored about.

A small sample of boats

Three-day vacation from sailing planned!

We are having a meet-up this weekend.  Two Panamá Posse cruisers we met in San Diego are anchored here.  There will be whiskey and dark beer poured liberally in honor of our individual journies from West to East, all at sea level!  And we have another cruising couple from our Panamá Posse showing up, too.  All of us way far away from Panamá!
