Birthday visit from Mary’s sister

The first order of business was to clear out the aft cabin so Patty would have a place to sleep. She only had to sleep share the bed with our gennaker.

Saturday afternoon we took the Shelter Bay marina bus to the Colon bus station and got on the Panama City bus. Then an Uber to our hotel. We had enough time for a swim and have a drink before we picked Patty up from the airport.

The next day we prepared for our sail to the San Blas Islands. Dave changed out a hose on the dripless packing seal. It was a little scary since it is below the water line. All went well with only a little water coming in. We think it is fixed. After our hard work was done, it was time for a swim and the Sunday night cruisers BBQ where we got to introduce Patty to our friends. We had an early night, so we could get an early start Monday morning to head to San Blas.

  1. Good Morning, our dear friends, from sunny Phoenix! The spring weather this year has been amazing, with cooling rains and temps mostly in the 70’s. We’ve been busy with our 3 grandies, going to dance recitals, GCU women’s LaCrosse games, and baseball! What a wonderful birthday gift for you, Mary, to have your sister on the sea with you!! Travel safely (we know you do, as you have a SUPER skipper, captain, mechanic, etc. on board!!) We LOVE the updates! Thank you, and God Bless! Paul and Sheryl
