We came into the marina at Ixtapa for a few weeks. We needed to find a nice, safe, and secure location for the boat because we are heading back to the USA for a week in March.
Ixtapa has most of the tourist hotels and one very long and beautiful sandy beach. The marina manager is very nice and attentive. We had three deliveres from Amazon within a couple of days of our arrival.
It’s winter and no chance of snow!
Zihuatanejo is a 17 peso and 20-minute bus ride away. Zihua has a beautiful looking bay and all the charming ambiance you could ask for.
Zihuatanejo is also home to Guitarfest next week. This annual event is supposed to be exceptional. We’ve already purchased tickets to a very exclusive dinner and have plans to attend other venues for some would class listening.
I doubt any other locations we encounter going southbound are going to be as nice as Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. We have friends buying a condo here. We understand the attraction they have to Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
