One of the fundraising events was an afernoon boat ride. People bought tickets to reserve space on a cruising boat. Many cruisers volunteered to host people as guests on their boat, and other people supported on the docks helping the boats get off and then safely back to the docks. We were part of the dock crew. It was wonderful to be a part of the action.
