Arrived La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

Also known simply as La Cruz. We are in Bandaras Bay at the ancorage just outside of the Riviera Nayarit marina. We have a reservation in the marina starting December 14. We hope we can get a slip starting tomorrow since we got here so fast.

The overnight sail, our second in a row, was tiring. We were concerned about fuel level so we sailed as much as possible. At one point around 2AM while the wind was shifting and the boat was scooting at about a half knot I think we ran over a fish ball. How could I tell? Because a few minutes later we had 30+ dolphins swimming around decimating the bait fish. Pretty cool thing to watch at 2AM. The wind picked up enough after that to get us to Punta Mita and the entrance to Banderas Bay

A fellow Panama Posse member took a photo of us coming into the La Cruz marina to get fuel. We sailed quite a bit last night from Isla Isabel as our tank gauge was (incorrectly) showing low fuel status. We took on about 50 gallons into our ‘100 gallon’ tank – and we were full! Some day we’ll figure out what our actual usable fuel capacity is.

Our ship looks so tiny!
