Sailing In Hawaii

Boat neighbors are a treasure. We met Jonh and Mo in Richmond where we were boat neighbors. Since then they relocated to Oahu, HI to be closer to family. They generously invited us to visit, so we did!

They now have an Island Packet 380. Of course we had to take her for a spin! We sailed (or motor sailed) from Kaneohe to Honolulu where John got us a mooring at the Hawaii Yacht Club. The weather was perfect and we were able to sail a good portion of the way there. As we left John’s slip, we passed Coconut Island where Gillian’s Island was filmed! “Just sit right back and you’llhear a tale…” you know the rest.

It was a great sail with a great guy.
