La Cruz

La Cruz is just north of Puerto Vallarta.  It is a nice small town that has a lot of ex pats from USA and Canada living there.

The town is well laid out and easy to navigate.  The roads are paved with larger smooth rocks that have been here for a very long time.

There are some amazing restaurants and we tried several! The German restaurant, Black Forest, had amazing schnitzel and red cabbage.   The Italian restaurant, Langosta DIEZ By Ricardo García Alba is in a court yard and the service and food were the best. Then there was the Tree House Bar and Grill, again set in a court yard.  We navigated the streets in the dark, but not to worry I was not scared at all.

The marina is quite large and has some pretty big boats in it. Our friends on our buddy boat, Star Passage, were in La Cruz so we were able to reconnect. They have been here before and gave us the lay of the land. There are very nice bathrooms and showers at the main building. The bathrooms that were closer to our dock were behind the security guard shack. Safe but kind of weird to have to walk through the palm trees to get to the building. Yes they were flush toilets and running water to wash your hands.
