Celebrating Jean

We planned a trip to visit Dave’s parents at the end of August for his Dad’s 95th birthday. Two days before the party, his mom Jean got sick and went into ICU. She was not in pain, but you could tell she was losing the battle. She passed away four days later on Jack’s birthday. We miss her terribly, especially Jack, her husband of 73 years.

Through our grief, there are hidden blessings. Jean was able to see and say goodbye to all of her children and their partners. Four of her grandchildren were with her. We were able to tell her how much we loved her and would miss her and assure her we would take care of Jack.

We had a lot of great times with her and Jack when they lived next to us in Reno. We love you, Jean.
