West Palm Beach Sunday

Our second full day was all on the water.  Dave spent a lot of time trying to recover from his failed cell phone.  We have a couple old phones on board for this kind of occasion.  The first phone was Android 9 – a bit too old for some important apps.  The other was much more current, but the back of the phone had peeled off due to some battery overheating issues.  The second phone was the least bad.  We may be phone shopping in a few days.

Mary spent time encouraging cushions and floor mats and other items to continue their drying after the previous day’s deluge.  And getting ready for the sail up the coast.  And getting hors d’oeuvres ready for a couple boat visits planned for this day.

The first gathering was Tess and John from French Kissing Life, Lynette and Bruce from Cerca Trova and us. We are all part of tge Panama Posse. All of us were going north to Ft. Pierce the next day and continuing up the coast later. It called for a planning meeting and general get better aquainted gathering. Later that afternoon, we met on Cerca Trova again, this time with Josh and Shirley from Saphina. The the couples met in San Diego in 2021 as we all prepared to head south. It was great to visit and catch up. You never know when you will meet your cruiser friends again.
