Monkeys!

As a diversion from our early morning routine, we went on a walk in the woods in search of monkeys. We heard that we might find some capuchin monkeys down a trail on the way to a couple of WWI/WWII gun batteries.

Sure enough. Just past the first battery, we heard a familiar howl. As we walked up the path, the calls grew much louder. We were in Howler monkey territory. We recorded some calls. We tried to get some pictures. Our phone cameras just don’t do justice to the troup of about a dozen monkeys in the trees.
