Panamá City

I guess we zipped through the Pacific side of Central America pretty fast. We met one cruising couple who spent more than a year cruising Pacific Central America. We probably could have done another month here, but we really want to get to the Caribbean and to the East coast of the USA.

Panamá City has about one-third of the population of the country of Panamá, and probably every single high-rise building. It kind of looks like a New York skyline. Our first morning, we went to the Allbrook mall. 700 stores. 4 million square feet. 2nd largest mall in the America’s! We are definitely out of the jungle.

We also visited a local PriceSmart warehouse club (¿Costco en Espanol?) and satisfied our shopping fix. We almost broke the rear axel of the taxi taking our stash back to the boat. We opted for “home” deliverey of our second haul.
