This is our last transit in the Pacific Ocean. It was a 45-mile trip to the La Playita marina at the southern entrance of the Panamá canal.
We left Vista Mar before 8AM as there were some favorable winds for sailing. We seem to motor a lot. We sometimes have to remind ourselves that are a sailboat. We did find the wind and we did get almost four hours of actual sailing.

As we approached our destination, we also had to navigate through the mass of ships at the canal anchorage. There is a backlog of ships waiting to go through the canal. A water shortage in Gatun Lake has reduced the number of ships being allowed through each day.

We arrived in La Playita, our last marina in the Pacific Ocean, and finally caught up with some Panamá Posse boats, including the fearless leader of our little sailing club.

Serious shopping is in our future!
Oh what fun! So glad you are sharing your journey with pictures and stories.
