Hola Panamá!

Our first night in Panamá was at a roadstead anchorage rather than in a nice protected bay. Several other boats had been here before and said it was great. The only drawback was the very irregular bottom going from 200 feet to 10 feet very unevenly in the last quarter mile. Our boat is the little red triangle. The chart says we are on the beach, but I’m sure we anchored in about 25 feet of water.

And again, we are the only cruiser out here. We had hoped to have a buddy boat on this part of our trip, but that never happened. It’s actually kind of nice being on our own way out here!

Oh, and Costa Rica gave us a little going away gift just before we entered Panamá. Mahi for dinner! Or more like a few dinners…

Fish killer!
