In keeping with our short sail theme, our next stop was only 21 miles across the Golfo de Nicoya. We brought up the anchor at 6:30AM so we could anchor in Herradura before noon.
We needed to get a little shore time so we dropped the dinghy in the water and rowed to shore. As we were walking around, we had to keep our eyes on the ground so we did not step on any of the starfruit that had fallen from the abundance of trees.

We caught the bus to Jacó for $0.60 per person. Jacó is definately a tourist town. Surfers, restaurants, bars and hotels. We stayed for lunch and then took the bus back to Herradura.
Looks like it’s a nice place for lunch and a cerveza.
