We landed at a well-regarded little bay on Costa Rica’s Nicoya peninsula. The bay has surfing on the north side and a supposedly calm anchorage to the south.

North side of the bay with hotel and $4.27 Imperial beer on tap

Isla Chora is supposed to provide enough of a swell break to make this anchorage the most comfortable along this
stretch of the coast. This is definitely a surfers paradise. It was rock-and-rolly on our first night here.

Our second day here, we (Dave) rowed the dinghy to shore so we could provision, eat at a burger place Don and Roz recommend and have a craft beer at a brewery Don and Roz recommend. Oh yeah have a lovely walk along the beach. We were not disappointed.
