Lima, Peru

We left Tallahassee to fly to Peru via Miami. My incredible husband surprised me with upgraded First Class tickets for the 1st leg of the trip. [Husband: Legs 2, 3, 4 not upgraded – don’t spoil the spouse too much!]

We arrived at the Lima airport and found a taxi to our hotel with no issues, always a good thing.

Saturday we met the tour group after breakfast and headed out for our first excursion a tour of Historic Lima. There us so much pre-Incan History here it is hard to explain it all. Next was a tour of a pre-Incan Ruans, Pachacamac, one of the largest religious centers in pre-Inca times.

One of the best museums we have been to was Larco Herrera. A delicious dinner was included after the tour. This held the world’s largest collection of pre-Columbian
masterpieces and a stunning exhibition of gold and priceless jewels in South America. The museum was fantastic and the food delicious.
