Going East across America – Camping, Part 1

We spent a fast few days with our new tent trailer crossing the US of A. We left Carson City and headed east. Excited to camp in our new camper, we found a park in Elko, NV. As we drove on a side road to the campground, we saw all these little creatures hopping around. We came across a plague of Mormon crickets! The closer we got to the campground, the thicker and more gross the crickets got, too. We decided they were not going to spend the first night camping in our new trailer surrounded by carnivorous bugs.

Since we were going to stay in a hotel our first night out “camping,” we decided to head further east. We finally stopped in Wendover for a good nights sleep, and no crickets.
