La Paz – Food & People

I forgot how much we like La Paz. Marina de La Paz, the marina we are staying at, is wonderful. The people who work here are very nice and helpful. Neil, the owner, does a fantastic job of maintaining and upgrading the docks and facilities.

The location is another reason to like Marina de La Paz. It is very close to the malecon, which is the main drag of La Paz.

There are so many great restaurants I don’t know where to start. One of our favorites is La Mesquite Grill. We shared the Chateaubriand for 2 and always take home leftovers. They also have the best pina coladas we have ever tasted. This time, we were able to bring our friends Crystal and Kirk on Crystal Seas to share great food.

After dinner we went to a roof top bar and had a beer or two. At the bar I met a family from Mexico City. Enrique let me take his picture with the sunset behind him. He was with his parents on vacation. They were very interested in our adventure. Such nice people.

The sunsets are incredible as well. A nice way to end the day.
