We had a fun filled day kayaking to shore then a Lyft ride to Minney’s Yacht Surplus. This place is amazing. Used boat everything everywhere! We went away with a new big orange ball fender, some roller stoppers (helps the boat not rock at anchor), and some other miscellaneous items. We were walking home so didn’t buy the place out!
We walked back to our kayak and Dave delivered the items to the YO via kayak since we were on a mooring.
Next we took the Free Trolley to Balboa Pier and of course lunch at Rubies on the Pier. We had beautiful views and lovely weather. After lunch, we explored the area and came upon the Balboa Island Ferry of course we had to go. We walked by all the beautiful homes that were right by the marina and came across mermaids! It was magical. Especially for the two little girls at the Mermaid party.
Back at the boat, it was party time on the water for all the adults in Newport. Many small boats cruised by with people enjoying the late afternoon on the water. Sunset was spectacular.

We have a couple months here in San Diego and the general LA area. We will be coming back to Catalina at least a time or two… Then MX!
