We left Santa Barbara early Sunday morning heading to Santa Cruz Island. Our original plan was to anchor there for a couple of days then go to Channel Islands Marina. We were able to sail for a few hours on our way the island. Once we got there the wind was coming from the wrong direction and we didn’t feel comfortable. So, we changed our minds and headed to Ventura. We were able to sail the whole way there, it was great. All we needed was a slip. We’ll, the marinas are 1st come, no reservations. Sadly, Ventura had no slips for us. Next, Channel Islands Marina. They did have a slip, a great Pizza restaurant and cold beer.
