We are Dave and Mary on Sailing Vessel YO-D-YO. Our dream of retiring and sailing south is fast approaching. Dave retired last year, and I will retire from my teaching career this Summer.
We have been looking forward to this adventure since we bought our boat 21 years ago. YO-D-YO is a Hunter 460 sloop. She is currently moored in Richmond, CA where we sail San Francisco Bay every chance we get.
We are now ready to go. We sold our house, so it is real! Our home is our boat.
Our plan is to leave Marina Bay Yacht harbor on (or around) July 1, 2021 and head south. We will spend some time going down the California Coast. San Diego will be a stopping spot for a few months. The end of October we will make our way down the Baja Coast.
