St. Augustine is the oldest city in the country. It was established in 1565 according to the St. Augustine website. There is an Old Town section just across the street from the fort. Lots of dining, drinking, museum, and shopping experiences, but not a lot of opportunities to provision.
The Castillo de San Marcos is a fort that was finished 1695. It had never been taken by the British. It was given to Britain in a treaty in 1763. Then it went back to Spain in 1783. The US took it over in 1825. It is a very cool fort.

As we wandered the town we found a Pirate museum. Heck yeah! If you want to become a Pirate there is a code of conduct you must follow. It also helps to be competent in firing a cannon. Also, always listen to Black Beard!

Love this town, it’s just hard to park in it. Good thing you were able to walk in.
