Our first full day in West Palm Beach was a shore excursion. We met two of our cruising friends on Saturday morning to go shopping. We each dropped our dinghies in the water and headed to dry land. The third couple our our meet-up have a car that they let us borrow to go to town. Home Depot, West Marine, and Publix Market were on the itinerary. We only needed groceries so we held off on purchases until Publix.

When we got back from grocery shopping, Mary opened 3 hatches on top as we were taking our groceries down below. Another couple from another Posse boat pulled up in their dinghy and invited us to the tiki bar. Groceries were quickly put away and we jumped in their dinghy.
From the Tiki bar, we could see the storm clouds building. A quick check of WeatherBug showed a long storm system barreling down upon us. Can you see where this is going? Yep, it rained and blew hard! After the storm passed, we headed back to the boat. Uh oh. The hatches were still open. The boat was a bit wet inside. Thank goodness the open hatches were not over the bed.

It is sunny now and we are drying out nicely.
Yikes! Hate when it gets wet inside my home. Glad things are drying out nicely.
