Cacao farm you say? Yes chocolate! The only day we could take the tour this week was yesterday. We had to get up at 6:30 am in order to get to the farm in time for the 10:00 tour. We made it.
The owner is Gary from LA and is managing the 30 acres rain forest. He educated us on the different plants and trees that grow there. We saw monkeys, poison dart frogs, a sloth, and lots of birds. Gary is also educating the indigenous people on plant based foods they can grow. Oh and yes he grows cacao.

We saw the process of making chocolate and tasted some very good chocolate. Most is 100% chocolate with no sugar added. Some of it has sugarcane added to sweeten it a bit. They also made chocolate infused rum. What’s not to love?

The anchorage was very calm and our friends Marcie and Damon on Wanderlust invited us to dinner on their boat. Gary ended up joining us for a wonderful evening.

Yummy! Who doesn’t love chocolate! Especially fresh, organic chocolate! Great picture of the 2 boats!
