Last Days in The US

All good things come to an end. We had a fantastic summer camping across the US, visiting family and friends and saw some beautiful countryside.

Our last stop was Mary’s brother’s place. We had a wonderful time with Tom and Terri, his lovely wife. A bonus was spending time with Mary’s niece and nephew and their families. We have three great nieces and a great nephew. They were full of love and hugs and fun. We played in Tom and Terri’s pool, made chalk art, and the kids got to ride the lawn mower.  Celebrating our nephew’s birthday was also a highlight. He and his band had a gig on his birthday, and man, are they good! It was an evening of great music, good beer, and dancing to some familiar songs.

It was not all fun and games. We had to finish packing for our trip back to the boat. We accumulated a few more items to take back with us than we anticipated and needed to be extra careful to keep the checked bags under 50 pounds. There were also house projects that Dave and I were more than happy to help with. Fixing the gate, and covering the pool being just a couple of the projects.

The last full day we were thre we went on a hike to Leon Sinks. This is a trail hat took us by many sink holes in the area.
