While Mary was gallivanting Charlevoix with her friends, Dave had serious business to attend to.
A friend of ours, John Prince from Marina Bay in Richmond, asked if I wanted to go sailing for a trip around Hawaii. Of course!
We left Kāneʻohe Bay on Oahu for an initial three-day adventure with intent on spending about another week transiting other islands.

We sailed south and then east past Honolulu and then north up the leeward side of the island. The trade winds were up, and the sailing was a slow bash. We made it as far north as Kaʻena Point, but the winds and seas were against us.
We returned following the same track back to the home base in desperate need of showers. The winds and waves were just not cooperating, so after our three-day outing, we finished up. Awesome sailing while it lasted. I was able to get in a visit to Waikiki for a little sightseeing before heading back to the mainland.

Awesome, guys! Such a beautifully different perspective from your sailing yacht than on land!!!! Beautiful water! Paul and I went scuba diving off Honolulu shore, MANY MOONS AGO! You two really are livin’ the life!! We love you! Gilligan’s Island, GORGEOUS!
